Still City is a palette. It is a very thick oil painting done entirely with a palette knife. oil on canvas 16x20

looks more like a collection of smurf faces than a city i think!! but stil i like how its quiet chaotic but still seems controlled, very nice

I like the quite angular shapes prevalent throughout the piece - I guess these are meant to underscore the structural quality possessed by the city... it's difficult to tell without being able to view this close up; it's a shame you didn't import this in as a bigger size so we can mull over the details. The business of the painting strokes and colours seem to contradict the idea of a still city but I like this nonetheless. Anticipate more :) (Smile)

The dynamism in this makes me wanna sit down. I wont attemp too deep an interpretation. k? Im drawn in by your raw energy though. Very much so. It permeates all your work... Oh, and Ill be faveing a rediculous amount of your work, starting here. :) (Smile) Remember, larger image size!

though buildings and general city like traits aren't distinct to me anyway, it is the only way you really could draw a city, its perfect.
